1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern the Caround Rental Insurance Campaign (“Campaign”) operated by Dayoffcar OÜ, trading as Caround (“Caround”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
The Campaign is a limited promotional support initiative for eligible vehicle owners who list their vehicle on Caround, activate eligible rental insurance, make their vehicle genuinely available for rental, and complete qualifying rental bookings through the Caround platform.
Subject to these Terms, Caround may reimburse part of an eligible vehicle owner’s rental insurance costs. Reimbursement is promotional in nature and is not guaranteed.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Campaign” means the Caround Rental Insurance Campaign described in these Terms.
“Campaign Period” means the period during which the Campaign is active, currently from 1 September 2026 through 30 November 2026 (“Autumn 2026”), unless shortened, extended, paused or terminated by Caround.
“Eligible Owner” means a vehicle owner who satisfies the requirements set out in these Terms.
“Eligible Vehicle” means a vehicle listed on Caround, reviewed and approved by Caround, and maintained as active and genuinely available for booking during the Campaign Period.
“Eligible Insurance” means a valid paid rental insurance policy or other insurance product accepted by Caround for the listed vehicle.
“Qualifying Booking” means a genuine completed rental booking that satisfies Section 8 of these Terms.
“Reimbursement” means a promotional payment that Caround may provide towards Eligible Insurance costs, subject to review, verification, budget availability and compliance with these Terms.
3. Campaign Period
The Campaign is intended to run from 1 September 2026 through 30 November 2026 (“Autumn 2026”). Caround may modify, extend, shorten, suspend or terminate the Campaign at any time where reasonably necessary, including due to budget limits, technical issues, abuse prevention, low-quality participation or business reasons.
Activities completed outside the Campaign Period do not automatically qualify unless Caround expressly approves them in writing.
Caround may close the Campaign earlier if the Campaign budget has been allocated, if participation exceeds expected levels, or if Caround determines that continuation would create unreasonable financial, operational or fraud risk.
4. Eligibility
To participate, an owner must:
- have an active Caround account in good standing;
- successfully complete identity verification where required;
- own or legally control the listed vehicle;
- list a genuine vehicle on Caround;
- have the vehicle reviewed and approved by Caround;
- purchase and maintain Eligible Insurance;
- provide valid proof of insurance payment;
- make the vehicle genuinely available for rental;
- complete one or more Qualifying Bookings;
- comply with Caround’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and platform rules.
Caround may refuse participation where ownership, insurance, identity, vehicle condition, booking authenticity or user behaviour cannot be reasonably verified.
5. Campaign Participation Requirements
To be considered for Reimbursement, the owner must complete all of the following steps:
- submit a vehicle listing through the Caround app or website;
- provide accurate vehicle information and real photos;
- receive vehicle approval from Caround;
- purchase Eligible Insurance for the approved vehicle;
- submit the insurance policy and proof of payment;
- keep the vehicle active and reasonably available on Caround;
- complete genuine rental activity through Caround;
- pass Caround’s review and anti-abuse checks.
Listing a vehicle alone is not sufficient to qualify for Reimbursement. Purchasing insurance alone is not sufficient to qualify for Reimbursement. A real completed rental activity is required.
6. Eligible Insurance
Only insurance policies accepted by Caround may qualify. Caround may require that the insurance policy clearly shows:
- owner name;
- vehicle registration number;
- insurance provider;
- policy number;
- policy period;
- amount paid;
- date of payment;
- proof that the insurance has been paid and is active.
Quotes, screenshots without sufficient detail, unpaid invoices, incomplete documents, altered documents, expired policies, cancelled policies or refunded policies may be rejected.
Insurance purchased before the Campaign Period may be excluded unless Caround approves it. Insurance that is cancelled, refunded, partially refunded or invalidated may result in Reimbursement being denied, reduced or reversed.
7. Insurance Reimbursement
Caround may reimburse part of Eligible Insurance costs after review. Reimbursement is based on genuine rental activity and is not automatic.
Caround may consider the following factors when determining whether to reimburse and how much to reimburse:
- number of completed Qualifying Bookings;
- total rental duration;
- total rental revenue;
- vehicle availability;
- listing quality;
- owner responsiveness;
- booking authenticity;
- customer feedback;
- remaining Campaign budget;
- overall compliance with these Terms.
The longer and more genuinely the vehicle is rented through Caround, the more support may be considered. However, no specific amount, percentage or minimum Reimbursement is guaranteed.
Reimbursement shall not exceed the actual Eligible Insurance cost paid by the owner, the Campaign limit applicable to the owner or vehicle, or the remaining Campaign budget, whichever is lower.
7A. Discretionary Incident Support
In certain cases, Caround may, at its sole discretion, provide Incident Support toward reasonable repair costs where damage or an incident occurs during or in connection with a Qualifying Booking.
Incident Support is separate from rental insurance and does not replace, supplement or guarantee insurance coverage. Where applicable insurance may cover the incident, the owner must normally pursue the insurance claim first.
Each request is reviewed individually. Caround may consider the circumstances of the incident, available evidence, vehicle condition before and after the rental, insurance coverage, repair estimates, owner and driver cooperation, booking authenticity and other relevant information.
The owner must report the incident to Caround as soon as reasonably possible and, unless Caround agrees otherwise, no later than seven (7) calendar days after the relevant rental has ended.
Caround may require supporting materials including:
- photographs or videos taken before and after the rental;
- a description of the incident;
- repair estimates or invoices;
- insurance claim documents or decisions;
- vehicle inspection information;
- communications relating to the incident;
- any other information reasonably required to assess the request.
Incident Support does not normally apply to:
- damage or defects that existed before the rental;
- normal wear and tear;
- routine maintenance or servicing;
- mechanical or electrical failure that cannot reasonably be connected to the rental incident;
- depreciation or reduction in vehicle value;
- loss of use or lost rental income;
- fines, penalties or indirect losses;
- costs already reimbursed by an insurer, driver or another third party.
Caround determines whether Incident Support is provided and the amount of any contribution. Caround may approve, reduce or refuse a request at its sole discretion.
A payment made in one case does not create any entitlement to Incident Support in another case.
Incident Support shall not exceed €500 per incident, unless Caround expressly approves a higher amount in writing.
Incident Support under these Campaign Terms applies only to Qualifying Bookings occurring during the Campaign Period, unless Caround expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
8. Qualifying Bookings
A booking qualifies only if Caround reasonably determines that all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- the booking was made through Caround;
- payment was successfully processed through Caround;
- the rental was completed successfully;
- the booking reflects genuine vehicle usage;
- the booking was not cancelled, refunded, reversed or disputed;
- no chargeback was initiated;
- the booking was not created primarily to obtain Reimbursement;
- the driver and owner are not acting together to manipulate eligibility.
Caround may exclude bookings that appear artificial, unusually short, unusually priced, circular, coordinated, self-directed, abusive, misleading or inconsistent with ordinary rental behaviour.
9. Verification and Supporting Documentation
Caround may request documentation and information at any time, including:
- insurance policy documents;
- payment receipts;
- bank confirmation;
- vehicle registration documents;
- vehicle photos;
- odometer photos;
- trip confirmation materials;
- identity or ownership verification;
- additional information reasonably required to verify eligibility.
Failure to provide requested documents within a reasonable time may result in Reimbursement being delayed, reduced, refused or cancelled.
10. Review and Payment Process
Reimbursement is not paid immediately. Caround may review each request for at least thirty (30) calendar days after the request is submitted, after the first Qualifying Booking, or after the relevant Campaign activity has been completed.
During the review period, Caround may assess booking authenticity, payment status, insurance validity, cancellation history, refund activity, chargebacks, account behaviour and possible abuse.
If additional checks are required, Caround may extend the review period. Reimbursement may be delayed where fraud, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, documentation problems, technical issues or policy violations are suspected.
11. Fraud, Abuse and Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- booking your own vehicle;
- creating fake or duplicate accounts;
- using friends, relatives or related parties to create artificial bookings;
- coordinated booking activity intended to generate Reimbursement;
- returning money outside Caround after a booking;
- creating fake or misleading listings;
- using fake, altered or incomplete insurance documents;
- manipulating price, availability or booking duration;
- artificially increasing rental activity;
- making bookings without genuine transportation use;
- cancelling insurance after requesting or receiving Reimbursement;
- attempting to bypass Campaign limits;
- any activity Caround reasonably considers abusive or malicious.
Where Caround suspects fraud, abuse or malicious activity, Caround may deny, reduce, delay, cancel or reverse Reimbursement. Caround may also suspend or terminate user accounts and remove vehicles from the platform.
12. Campaign Budget and Limits
The Campaign operates with a limited promotional budget. Reimbursement availability depends on remaining Campaign funds at the time Caround approves the Reimbursement.
Caround may set limits per owner, per vehicle, per household, per payment method, per account, per insurance policy or per Campaign period.
If Campaign demand exceeds budget, Caround may reduce reimbursement amounts, prioritise applications, close the Campaign, or stop accepting new Reimbursement requests.
13. Continued Participation
Owners must continue participating in good faith. Caround may refuse or reduce Reimbursement where an owner:
- removes the vehicle shortly after qualifying;
- does not make the vehicle genuinely available;
- repeatedly rejects reasonable booking requests;
- uses the Campaign only to obtain insurance support;
- does not cooperate with verification;
- acts inconsistently with the purpose of the Campaign.
14. Caround Rights and Discretion
Caround reserves the right to determine whether an owner, vehicle, insurance policy, booking or activity qualifies under these Terms.
Caround may approve, refuse, reduce, delay, cancel or reverse any Reimbursement where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, prevent abuse, manage budget or ensure fair participation.
Caround’s tracking, verification and eligibility systems are the primary basis for determining Campaign participation and Reimbursement eligibility.
15. No Guarantee of Earnings or Bookings
Participation in the Campaign does not guarantee bookings, income, rental activity, Reimbursement or future participation in Caround campaigns.
Vehicle rental demand depends on many factors, including price, location, availability, vehicle type, seasonality, driver demand and owner responsiveness.
16. Taxes
Owners are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax, accounting or reporting obligations arising from Reimbursement or rental income.
Caround may report payments where required by applicable law.
17. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caround shall not be liable for lost earnings, lost bookings, lost Reimbursement opportunities, technical failures, delayed payments, incorrect information submitted by users, insurance provider decisions, or unavailable Campaign budget.
Caround is not an insurance provider. Insurance terms, coverage, exclusions and claims are governed by the relevant insurance provider’s policy documents.
18. Changes, Suspension and Termination
Caround may update these Terms, modify Campaign requirements, adjust reimbursement criteria, change Campaign limits, suspend participation or terminate the Campaign at any time.
Changes may apply prospectively from the date they are published or communicated, unless immediate changes are required to prevent abuse, fraud or platform harm.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
Any disputes arising from or relating to the Campaign shall be subject to the competent courts of Estonia, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
